Luminous Bloom
A Sculpture of Light and Steel
Forged from the elegance of cold metal and imbued with a subtle, radiant soul, Luminous Bloom is a lamp that transcends function to become a living sculpture. This piece blossoms like a nocturnal flower. Its form both organic and engineered, crafted entirely from intricately bent and layered metal sheets. By day, the lamp stands as a glistening monument of metallic grace, its stem spiraling upward like a silver vine adorned with delicately cut petals. The canopy above, woven from fine bands of metal, twists into a mesmerizing crown, simultaneously structured and chaotic, an ode to controlled spontaneity. When darkness falls, the sculpture awakens. Bathed in a luminous glow, the lamp transforms into a celestial bloom, casting soft, radiant light through the fine lattice of steel. It becomes not just a source of illumination, but a presence - silent, sculptural, and otherworldly. The interplay between the sharpness of metal and the softness of light reveals the lamp’s dual nature: strength and delicacy, structure and emotion.
This piece invites touch, contemplation, and reverence, blurring the lines between lighting and fine art.

Trifolium Incarnatum
An exploration in scale, irony, and unseen beauty
The Trifolium Incarnatum, or crimson clover, is a flowering species native to much of Europe and part of the Pea family. At 1438x magnification, its petals reveal a striking microstructure, fine folds that twist, gather, and merge in a rhythm all their own. In my work, I’m drawn to beauty that often goes unnoticed - forms that are quiet, intricate, and overlooked. I also enjoy using materials that carry a sense of irony. For this piece, I chose metal wire mesh to replicate the fragile folds of the petal, translating softness into strength, delicacy into structure. Each section is shaped and layered by hand, the connections made with subtle, utilitarian means. The contrast between the organic inspiration and the industrial medium invites a reconsideration of both, asking what happens when something ephemeral is reimagined in a permanent, even harsh, material.
