Trifolium Clover

The Trifolium Incarnatum also known as the crimson flower or the Italian clover is a species of clover belonging to the Pea family (Fabaceae) and is native to most of Europe. Under the magnification of 1438x, the flower reveals a beautiful structure unique to its own. Folds on each section unite with the other folds.

In my art, I like to capture the beauty of objects that often go unnoticed. I also tend to use medium that convey irony. For this sculpture, I used wire mesh to replicate the delicate microscopic folds of the petal.

To replicate the texture, I folded pieces of metal wire mesh, connecting each piece with metal wire and stapler bullets.
